There was chaos in the Convocation Center today as Ohio (2-1 overall) tried to hold on to its big halftime lead against Morehead State (2-2 overall) in Rufus’ Field Trip Game. The Convo was packed with elementary school kids from all across Southeast Ohio to watch the Bobcats take on the Eagles.

Studio Ghibli’s ability to create audience swaying anime films broke down the barrier officially in 2003 with “Spirited Away” for its first Academy Award, and again last year for “The Boy and the Heron.” We should expect a resurgence of the genre at the Academy Awards, given 2025 has been a year of box office upsets, particularly for anime films.

Mariah Carey, often recognized as the “Queen of Christmas” because of her massive hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” has released an “It’s Time” video every year since 2019 to help usher in the holiday season. The videos are wildly popular, gaining millions of likes.

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, Anchor Addiction and Wellness Center and Paint Valley Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board teamed together to launch the state’s first mobile opioid treatment units Oct. 17 for seven rural counties, joining 17 other states, according to a press release.

Many families have expressed their concerns for teens' mental health after the rise in confiding in AI chatbots. Additionally, 92 million jobs are expected to be displaced by 2030 as a result of AI. AI technology is wreaking havoc on our mental health, environment and job market.

With six games left in the regular season, Ohio (9-15, 7-5 Mid-American Conference) will go on the road to face off against Central Michigan (9-15, 6-6 MAC), another team that is trying to make a late-season playoff push. With both of these teams in the middle of the pack, wins in both of the games could spell doom for any of these teams' chances to reach the tournament.
