WASHINGTON D.C. – Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 Supreme Court case that made abortions a constitutional right, was overturned by the Court Friday. Following the decision, people both in support and against the decision went to the Supreme Court building to voice their opinion.

On Tuesday, June 14, K-Pop boy group BTS announced during their ninth anniversary livestream that they would be going on a break. What started out as a fun and reminiscent video, soon turned solemn and bittersweet, as the members spoke about their decision to take a break as a group and instead spend some time working on solo projects.

If you were to ask any person who's invested in the world of rap to name one of our generation's most talented and acclaimed emcees, they would likely say Kendrick Lamar. Lamar’s conceptual-style way of storytelling of his life growing up in Compton, CA, in his highly acclaimed albums such as good Kid m.A.A.d. city and DAMN -- which both garnered No.1 on the BIllboard 200 and DAMN -- a Pulitzer Prize in music, is truly commendable. He often heavily covers themes of gang violence, police brutality and life as a Black man in disadvantaged America.

When director Scott Derrickson left the tentatively titled Doctor Strange 2 in 2020, my hope for the sequel was mostly lost. Derrickson both directed and co-wrote the original Doctor Strange, and it was a passion project for him. The massive stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched Derrickson into a whole new chapter of his career. Doctor Strange was his vision, and with the sequel announced to be more horror-centric, losing one of the best horror directors working today seemed like a death knell. Later that year, Sam Raimi came aboard.

Doja Cat, also known as Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, may just be one of the most versatile female artists of this generation. She can sing, dance and most importantly, perform with the confidence that some struggle to fully embody on stage. Sadly, after experiencing burnout and harassment from fans on social media, the singer announced she would be quitting music after her tour with The Weeknd this summer.

Nurses are the underappreciated angels of the medical field. They provide one of the most important roles in healthcare, as they spend time providing education, comfort and around-the-clock care for patients all over the country. In return, they are often overworked and fulfill high expectations without gratitude or recognition.
