Don’t talk about politics or religion at the dinner table. The traditional etiquette is one many people were raised upon, considering it common courtesy to avoid any potentially tumultuous discussions with guests to preserve a peaceful, harmonious evening. While respecting others’ opinions is an important covenant to uphold, regarding open conversation as taboo may have hindered the inclination of many individuals to become invested in politics.

Friday’s walkout was part of a nationwide movement to protest the inhumane actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, in cooperation with Minnesota’s “ICE Out” day.

Ohio (12-5, 6-1 Mid-American Conference) beat Bowling Green (13-6, 4-3 MAC) by a score of 82-57 on Wednesday night. It was one of the best games of the season for the Bobcats, as the team shot 58% from the field while also hitting 59% of their threes. After a poor offensive performance in the last game, Ohio went out and more than made up for that.

When a resident is locked out of their dorm, they go to their resident advisor for help. When they have roommate issues, they go to their RA. When there is any little issue in the dorm, they go to them again for help. RAs are important student staff workers, but are also the most underappreciated and overworked employees in housing.

With this holiday season coming to a close and rounding out the past year, New Year's resolutions are officially in full swing for students at Ohio University and beyond. These resolutions include a variety of plans ranging from reinventing oneself, to accomplishing goals and many participating in the increasingly popular Dry January, cutting out all alcohol entirely until the first month of the year has passed.

Monday morning, over 100 Ohio University students, faculty and staff gathered at Galbreath Chapel to commemorate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Members of The Post joined the Celebration Silent March led by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Celebratory Brunch held by OU’s Center for Student Engagement & Leadership to remember and honor Dr. King’s contribution to upholding the freedoms upon which our newsroom is built: speech and press.
