For their final two games of the regular season, the Ohio Bobcats swept the Liberty University Flames in a rematch of the previous weekend. Although both teams are pretty much guaranteed to make the tournament, this series was important for seeding. The National Championship selection show will air on FloHockey on Tuesday.

Following the same formula, the series will be produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels. SNL United Kingdom will feature eleven up-and-coming comedy names in the U.K.

A criminal trial is currently underway in the FirstEnergy bribery scandal. The trial alleges Chuck Jones, former CEO of FirstEnergy and Michael Dowling, former senior vice president of FirstEnergy, played a role in a $4.3 million bribe, given to Sam Randazzo, former chair of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, for his future help.

Ohio (15-10 Overall, 9-5 Mid-American Conference) traveled 125 miles north to take on the Akron Zips (7-19 Overall, 4-9 MAC), as it tried to continue its hot conference streak and win its fourth MAC game in a row. Little did the Bobcats and Zips know, they would soon be engulfed in one of the craziest games of the season, as the two teams would be tied at triple digits with seconds left in the game.

The 2026 NBA trade deadline was a highly anticipated one, and now that Feb. 5th has come and gone, I would say that hype was lived up to for the most part. Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies were clearly the two most common names circulating trade rumors, even going back to last season. While it was disappointing to see neither of them traded, their sagas are far from over, and the moves that were made were uber-entertaining nonetheless.

Ohio lawmakers introduced a bill to ban certain local officials from signing non-disclosure agreements that are related to their public duties. State Representatives Adam Bird and Brian Stewart introduced this bill on Feb. 11th. NDAs that are signed are directly connected to data centers in Southeast Ohio, which will influence the local upcoming primary elections. Companies use NDAs to keep rural residents in the dark about who is building in their backyard.
