Ohio (3-14, 1-4 Mid-American Conference) will try to defend The Convo as Miami (9-8, 3-2 MAC) travels to Ohio University to play in volleyball’s rendition of the Battle of the Bricks on Friday and Saturday. Ohio is coming off its first win in two months which broke its 11-game losing streak but are now looking to carry that momentum back to home court. Miami, on the other hand, is coming off a loss after being swept by Ball State.

Bobcats are flocking to the newest restaurant on campus, Raising Cane’s Chicken Tenders, located on Court Street directly across College Green. The restaurant opened Oct. 7 with long lines flowing out of the door, showcasing a promising start for the business. However, this level of popularity may not remain, considering the various chicken-based restaurants that occupy both on and off-campus locations in Athens, Ohio. All of which are successful in their own accord.

Though Ohio has struggled throughout this season, it seemed to put it all together in this game, not letting Kent State win a single set, including winning one of the sets by double-digit points. Everything went correctly for the Bobcats, and this gives them their first conference win and first win since Sept. 5.

Appalachian ghost stories of the eerie terrain have been told for hundreds of years, passed down from generation to generation. The mountain range is approximately 1,500 miles, going through 15 states. The mountains are also ancient, as it’s one of the oldest mountains on the planet, dating back 500 to 300 million years ago. The truth of what is haunting Appalachia might be more sinister than a couple of ghosts.
