As of 2023, Ohio University offers undergraduates over 250 programs of study. The sheer number of opportunities can be overwhelming for incoming freshmen, who have only just entered adulthood. This reason, among others, may be why so many students start off undecided, and why so many students switch their majors. According to OU’s website, 18% of students are undecided.

For many people who would identify themselves as alternative, there is an element of identification in what one wears. Throughout the years, those who subscribed to an ideology that exists outside of the societal norm found a place among second-hand materials, patches, buttons, etc. However, fashion content has begun to revolve around categorizing people by “aesthetics,” and social media-induced microtrends are overwhelming thrift stores. This leaves those reliant upon second-hand clothes, and those who are adhering to subversiveness, in the straits.

Making any sort of monumental change in life is always daunting. Whether we want to admit it or not, change is scary regardless of how adaptive you are. For incoming freshmen, making the transition to independence can be difficult. There's a lot about going away to school that is challenging. I think that many freshmen have the belief that they should have their life plan figured out by the time they start classes. I certainly did, even though I hadn’t even declared a major yet. But here’s a gentle reminder that half of the graduating seniors don’t know what they’re doing either.

“Jujutsu Kaisen,” is an anime that is popular around the globe. Its premiere season started in 2020 and finished in 2021. On March 25, the trailer for the show’s second season was released, reviving the fans of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” who have lain dormant since the release of the movie last spring. Within hours there were hundreds of edits on TikTok.

Richard Alexander Murdaugh was convicted of the murder of his wife and child on Friday, March 3. A week prior, Netflix released its docuseries “Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal.” The series covered all deaths considered related to the Murdaugh family, and there were five deaths in total: Mallory Beach, Paul Murdaugh, Maggie Murdaugh, Gloria Satterfield and Stephen Smith.
