Athens has been experiencing a problem with garbage not ending up in the right places. Henry LaBelle, an Athens resident, has recently taken the initiative to help combat this issue by spending his personal time cleaning up this out-of-place garbage.
The Dairy Barn is hosting the Contemporary Ceramics art show, which includes a diverse arrangement of clay artwork created by various artists selected by Ohio University ceramics professors.

Tantrum Theater is putting on Men on Boats, a uniquely historical show that relies heavily on gender diversity. The show will be Tantrum’s first return to live performances since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Currently displayed at the Kennedy Museum of Art, LACUNA is on display until March 6, 2022. Admission is free.
Each of Ohio University’s affiliated performing arts groups have productions planned for the upcoming fall semester. With the coronavirus pandemic still a prominent issue, each of the programs aim to keep the shows afloat, while still remaining cautious of health concerns.
The pandemic forced the Athena to close for approximately 16 months. In July, the theater reopened its doors and began showing movies in-person again.
With a packed schedule, Stuart’s will be hosting a plethora of different artists and performances. Stuart’s is excited to be welcoming back Todd Snider on Thursday, Aug. 26.
