Currently, there is little to no legislative protection to prevent teen dating violence, but two Ohio bills introduced last week could help protect teens already in abusive relationships.

Your Turn: Slices with Senate offers campus chance to provide feedback

Student Senate frequently receives criticism about its relations with the student body of Ohio University. While, according to the organization's constitution, Senate represents the entirety of the student population, both graduate and undergraduate, many have asserted the representation is not accurately holistic and certain factions are underrepresented. This has been a proverbial issue of sorts within Senate, and will probably continue to be a work-in-process for some time to come.

That's What She Said: NBC investigation of war criminals deemed 'dubious'

NBC is at it again. Apparently it didn't get the memo that trying to catch criminals is the job of law enforcement and not wannabe bounty hunters in search of a sensational story. But I have to give the NBC news team kudos for aiming for a more audacious criminal element than online sexual predators. Now they're looking to take down war criminals residing in the United States. I don't know what scares me more: the concept itself, or the fact that NBC is straining the ethics of journalism.

Your Turn: Students encouraged to attend McDavis' monthly office hours

In a recent Outlook article, it was announced McDavis will be holding monthly office hours. I commend McDavis for working to create a more open form of communication. There is no appointment necessary and each person will have ten minutes to speak with McDavis, in order of arrival. While two hours a month is hardly enough time to hear all the voices who would like to be heard, this is a great step toward a more democratically run university. I hope that McDavis continues to add more hours, but more importantly, takes what we have to say to heart.
