Government laws, orders threaten disability accessibility

Numerous government orders and laws have been targeting efforts in support of diversity, equality, inclusion and accessibility for Ohioians at the local, state and federal level. The Americans with Disability Act, which was passed in 1992, prohibits discrimination and guarantees equal opportunities for people with disabilities.

Ohio EPA grants funding to support water systems

The Ohio EPA provided $2.7 million in funding to 58 counties across the state. The funding is focused on smaller projects to improve water systems and drinking water. Athens City received $30,000 for a well-abandonment project.
