After serving on the Athens City Council for 8 years, Chris Knisely retired in 2023. As the first female president of the Council, Knisely created powerful change in the equality of the Athens local government.
Last Friday, the 12th World Music and Dance Concert took over the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Local community members and student organizations came together to educate Athens on traditional music and dance from nine different countries.
