A woman who is suspected in robbing two local banks has been arrested in West Virginia, Athens Police say.
The robberies, which were committed Tuesday and Thursday at People’s Bank on Court Street and Chase Bank on East State Street respectively, were allegedly committed by the same woman, according to a statement released Thursday by APD.
In both cases, the woman wore a black coat and did not appear to be armed. No one was harmed during either of the incidents.
There was no additional information clarifying who the woman was or how she was found. The report did not specify the specific location the suspect was arrested.
