Men's Basketball: Jaaron Simmons notches 1,000th career point

Ohio guard Jaaron Simmons notched his 1,000th career point during Tuesday night’s 79-62 win against Miami.

Simmons reached the milestone after garnering 21 points, three rebounds and one assist on 7-10 shooting against the RedHawks.

The redshirt junior from Dayton is the Bobcats’ 38th player to reach the milestone and the newest member to do so after Antonio Campbell (1,257 career points) reached it against Albany on March 16, 2016.

Simmons’ 1,010 career points rank 36th-best in program history. Simmons' 490 career assists rank fourth-best in program history.

Dave Jamerson is Ohio’s all-time scoring leader with 2,336 career points. Jamerson played from 1986-1990.
