The last time it was this cheap, Chingy was still big in the music industry.
Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2015:
If your dad hasn’t already filled you in, gas is cheap. Like, cheaper than we’ve experienced in a long time — and it seems to be heading lower.
Yesterday, oil briefly fell below $30 a barrel. Compare that to the $100 a barrel fetched in early 2014.
Last time oil was this cheap, Chingy’s “Right Thurr” sat at no. 7 on the Billboard Top 100, the first Pirates of the Carribean movie was released, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was settling in as the Governor of California. (It was 2003).
Oil prices have been sliding for a while because we have too much of the stuff. That’s bad news for those working in oil fields, but it’ll certainly give broke college students something to smile about.
