Millennials are getting divorced less than their parents; low voter turnout expected for 18- to 30-year-olds

Today is Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

Millennials often get a bad rap from older generations, whether that’s for eating too much avocado toast or swiping on Tinder to find love. But millennials are definitely better than their elders in one department: staying married.

From 2008 to 2016, the divorce rate dropped 18 percent, according to Bloomberg. Researchers attribute that drop to a change in how people under 45 approach marriage. Millennials are marrying later in life and are more particular when it comes to choosing “the one.”
