Athens Police Department received a report on Sunday of a sexual assault.
According to the media release, APD received the report Saturday night. The incident occurred on the city’s east side, and the victim identified the suspect. An investigation is pending.
This is the first report of sexual assault to APD since the beginning of the Spring Semester.
The Ohio University Police Department has received two reports of rape since Jan. 13.
