You can eat ‘Game of Thrones’-themed Oreos; Tantrum Theater is moving to Athens

Today is Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

Spring might be here, but winter is coming — in the form of Game of Thrones-themed Oreos.

The popular HBO series premieres its eighth and final season April 14, and the new themed cookies are building on the hype, featuring insignias depicting House Lannister, House Targaryen, House Stark and the Night King.

“At Oreo, we are always looking for new ways to playfully tap into emerging trends and pop culture," Oreo brand manager Kamila De Maria told USA Today. "Game of Thrones is one of the most talked about TV shows of a generation, so partnering with HBO was a great way to bring something unexpected to our classic cookie as a tribute to the show’s legacy."

The Oreos hit the shelves on Monday, and supplies are limited. Look for dark packaging featuring Oreo spelled out in the classic Game Of Thrones font.
