The Athens Police Department received a sexual battery report that happened at about 1 a.m. Thursday.
A 21-year-old woman reported that she was the victim of a rape by an unknown subject, who was described as a 5-foot, 9-inch white man. APD defined the incident as a “sexual battery — victim control impaired,” according to the report.
The victim declined to speak with officers, and the investigation is pending.
This is the second sexual battery report APD has received this school year. APD has also received three rape reports and one voyeurism report. The Ohio University Police Department has received one rape report, one sexual assault report and one sexual imposition report.
