The Athens Police Department received a rape report Thursday from a 21-year-old woman, who said it happened on the city’s south end.
The incident occurred from late Tuesday night to Wednesday morning. The subject is known, and APD will not provide any more information about the case, according to the report.
The victim did not want to speak to APD at the time, according to the report.
This is the fifth rape report APD has received this school year. The Ohio University Police Department has received one rape report this school year.
APD has also received two sexual battery reports and one voyeurism report. OUPD has received one sexual assault report and one sexual imposition report this school year.
