OUPD receives rape report from Halloween weekend

The Ohio University Police Department received a rape report Wednesday that happened Oct. 27 at an unknown location.

The survivor told a nurse that she was at a house party and felt dizzy. She then remembered waking up at a different place. The crime happened at about 1 a.m., according to an OUPD report. The office the nurse works at was not reported.

Hospital information indicated that the victim was sexually assaulted, according to the report.

There is not a suspect description, but OUPD is currently investigating the case.

This is the second rape report OUPD has received this school year. The Athens Police Department has received five rape reports.

This is the first sexual assault report from OUPD or APD since Oct. 3.

OUPD has received one sexual assault report and one sexual imposition report. APD has also received two sexual battery reports and one voyeurism report.
