See the Undeniable Comedy Tour live at Donkey Coffee, visit the Athens County Fair

Friday, August 6

Run Bailey’s will take place all day at Chauncey-Dover Community Park, 8389 W. Bailey Road, Millfield. The weekend will be full of events on the running trail. On Friday, there will be children’s races and an open 5K. Saturday there will be an open 15 mile and open five mile. Finally, on Sunday, there will be a women’s 10 mile and a women’s five mile. Larry Elefante and Megan Bee Live at Donkey will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at Donkey Coffee & Espresso, 17 W. Washington Street. The musical artists can be enjoyed over a cup of coffee in a social setting.

Saturday, August 7

National Farmers Market Week takes place Aug. 1 through Aug. 7. The Athens Farmers Market will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 1002 E. State St. In addition to the normal vendors and artists, there will be musical performances, food demonstrations, samples and more. Community Food Initiative’s Donation Station will host a 50/50 raffle. There will also be activities for kids hosted by Hopewell Health Center.

Steve Zarate at Dutch Creek Winery will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dutch Creek Winery, 12157 State Route 690. This will be the first live music event at the winery and will be accompanied by honey wine, cider and fruit wines.

The Undeniable Comedy Tour Live at Donkey will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at Donkey Coffee. The show will include the talents of Lee Mays, Shaena, Carlin Hagerty and Halima Abshir.

Sunday, August 8

Nelsonville Public Square Cleanup will take place at 9:00 p.m. at Nelsonville Public Square. With the Parade of the Hills Festival approaching, Nelsonville wants to clean up the area. Volunteers need to bring their own gloves and garden tools and must be able to pull weeds and perform general cleanup tasks. Members of the Nelsonville Rotary Club and Nelsonville Green Team will be there to help.

Admission: Free

Athens County Fair opened Aug. 6 and continues through Aug. 14 at 286 W. Union Street. There will be 4-H, rides and entertainment nightly. More information on admission and events can be found here.
