Athens Football: Athens will look for its first win Friday when it hosts Alexander

Athens had another disappointing loss last Friday, 36–28 to Marietta in overtime. The Bulldogs were finally successful with putting points on the board, but multiple turnovers and missed opportunities led them to a tough end result.

The Bulldogs have yet to win a game this season, and this week will be a test if they can improve on gameplay from last Friday by keeping the score close and the game a battle to the end.

Alexander is currently on a two-game win streak as it heads to Athens on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to come prepared and get energy going early if they want any chance at earning their first win in this conference matchup.
