A look at the weekend:
High pressure will remain over the Athens area for the entire weekend. Although that translates to calm and dry conditions, it also means clear skies, which will drop temperatures below normal as there are no clouds to trap heat. Highs will be in the 50s through this weekend, possibly reaching 60 by Sunday, and lows will be in the upper-20s to low-30s for the entire weekend.
Coming up next week:
The high pressure system from this weekend will linger over the area for the start of next week. By Wednesday, a small troughing pattern and low pressure system will move to the north and create an elevated chance for rain throughout the rest of the week. We will see highs in the upper 50s and lows in 40s through the end of the week.
