All OU students required to complete COVID-19 test before start of Spring Semester

All Ohio University Athens campus students will be required to take a COVID-19 test prior to returning to campus for the Spring Semester.

In a university news release, OU asked students living off-campus and residential students who do not have an at-home test to schedule a test at the Vault Health testing center in Shively Hall.

Residential students have been required to take an at-home COVID-19 test before returning to campus since November 2020. The surge in COVID-19 cases due to the delta and omicron variants led OU to announce that off-campus students must take a test as well.

Faculty and staff are also strongly encouraged to test through CVS or Vault Health or through a Zoom-supervised test, according to the release. Testing is required for students to participate in campus activities.

Those who test positive, are symptomatic or are exposed to the virus should follow OU’s COVID-19 protocols
