The Athens City-County Health Department, or ACCHD, reported two new COVID-19 related deaths Thursday.
With the addition of two new deaths, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths increased to 137 people in Athens County as of Thursday.
According to the ACCHD, there are now 46 new cases of COVID-19 within the County. The total number of active cases is 118, and the total positivity rate is 2.9%.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 still considers Athens County in the “low” category of community spread.
