The Athens City-County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 death Friday.
The total number of reported deaths currently sits at 135, though the health department has not released updated numbers since Friday.Â
As of Thursday, the county had 160 cases of COVID-19, with 30 of those being new cases. Just over 35,000 people in the county have started the vaccination process, while 32,721 people, or just over 50% of the county, have completed the vaccination process.
