Men's Basketball: Everything to know about Northern Illinois

Ohio now sits alone at fifth place in the Mid-American Conference and will welcome the sixth place team, Northern Illinois, to The Convo on Tuesday.

The Bobcats have won five games in a row, with the second of those five coming against the Huskies.

Series History

Ohio’s game against Northern Illinois on Feb. 7 was its first MAC road win of the season. It was a back-and-forth game, but Ohio came away with a six-point win that was a major turning point in its current win streak.

The Bobcats defeated the Huskies three of the last four times the two have played and have not lost to them at home since 2019.

Player to watch

A.J. Clayton - Clayton scored 18 points in Ohio’s win over Central Michigan on Saturday, his second highest total of the season. He hit 4-of-7 3-pointers, and it was his first game in double figures since Ohio’s loss to Eastern Michigan.
