Another week, another big performance for #10 as Nelsonville-York trounces cross-town foe Alexander 53-0. Young had 187 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns. I caught up with him this weekend and talked about the game and preparing for Athens.

On defeating Alexander:

"The win all-together was great becuase two years ago we went down there and everyone knows what happened. We lost to them. We came back this year this team was more motivated and hungry for this win and and we wanted to, if anything, redeem this for the seniors and juniors for two years ago."

On his performance against Alexander:

"Well I think I did a really good job but it really started out with the lineman. I mean Alexander had big boys upfront and our linemen really just dug their feet down in and pushed and opened up some holes and made big running room for me and all the other runners to make those kind of plays happen."

On hitting the hole and running for day light:

"I just keep my feet turning, go as fast as I can and I know if I get there fast enough, then those linemen won't have their heads up yet and I will be on the second level."

On what it would mean to win the TVC-Ohio title and go 10-0:

"It'd be great not only to win the TVC but to be coach Boston's first 10-0 team he's had."
