Fans are still waiting for Ocean's much anticipated new album.

For some Frank Ocean fans, today is July 70th.

The artist's fans have not-so-patiently been waiting 70 days for Ocean's new album, Boys Don't Cry, as the reclusive singer had said his second studio album would drop in July 2015.

In April, Ocean said in a Tumblr post, "I got two versions. I got twoooo versions," referencing his album and magazine package deal that would be available for all fans to experience. He included the hashtag "#July2015."

Thus it began — the final countdown for music's most anticipated album, after waiting close to three years for new music from pop radio's R&B savior. Ocean has been absent from the music scene since the release of his successful debut album, Channel Orange, in 2012.

But when July finally came and went, fans — including myself — could only ask, "Where is Boys Don't Cry?"

After long days of endless scrolling and refreshing of Ocean's Tumblr — as he has no Twitter or Facebok — and website, fans started to grow weary.

Restless, impatient and demanding, we took to Twitter to complain about Ocean's missed deadline. But after waiting for more than a month, I believe we deserve some sort of explanation.

Ocean never publicly mentioned the exact date of the release of his new album, a detail most probably overlooked.

Ocean actually went online and joked about the delay in releasing his album after asking a cryptic question and following up with "I know, I know... Quit asking dumb ass questions to the Internet and drop your album. haha."

But Ocean wasn't the only one trolling music millennials. Last month, his brother posted a "link" to Ocean's album, however it was actually just a connection to the video for Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." Ocean's mother got involved, according to The Guardian, by reassuring fans that their "treasure" will surely be on its way.

Despite the news, fans have little knowledge of what is going to be presented on the album. Snippets of new music and different collaborations have appeared on his Tumblr in the past year, but nothing has specifically been said about the release of his new album.

Ocean recently backed out as a headliner at the FYF Festival in Los Angeles, according to SPIN Magazine. He decided to "cancel his own appearance," but maybe it was for other reasons, like preparing the launch of a new album.

Ocean has been keeping things quiet, so maybe for fans that wait for new music won't be so long after all. Until then, I'll cross off July 70th on my calendar as I continue to count down the days until Ocean's new release.
