On October 18, 2022, anti-abortion protesters set up signs in Howard Park, outside of Schoonover Center, and debated with students throughout the afternoon. Some students countered with signs of their own, some were inviting people to go vote early, and some made attempts to cover up the anti-abortion signs, as well as the visitor himself, with curtains. West Union Street Construction
