On October 18, 2022, anti-abortion protesters set up signs in Howard Park, outside of Schoonover Center, and debated with students throughout the afternoon. Some students countered with signs of their own, some were inviting people to go vote early, and some made attempts to cover up the anti-abortion signs, as well as the visitor himself, with curtains. Pro Palestine protest to call on university officials to disclose investments in Israel

Ohio University's Students for Justice in Palestine organized a protest on Wednesday, urging the university to divest from and disclose investments in Israel. They also wanted to show their solidarity with the people of Gaza and call for an immediate cease fire. West Union Street Construction

Road construction on West Union Street has been going on since this past summer and is set to be finished by December 2024. The purpose of this project is to improve safety conditions, intersections and accessibility. Although these improvements are necessary, they have had a significant impact on motorists and businesses on West Union Street.
