The new and improved Athens Fire Department Headquarters, located near the Stimson Ave. roundabout is opening soon. The new station includes many public facilities, a boat launch into the river, a sculpture walk, a fitness area and much more. Athens Fire Chief, Bob Rymer, says this is a huge update from their current station on Columbus Rd.
