Athens Beautification Month, held throughout April, is an annual event where anyone in Athens can volunteer to help clean up and beautify the city. They transitioned from beautification day to beautification month to ensure the projects that need extra attention have time to succeed. One of the major clean ups the community is working on is renovating the Sunset Motel into a homeless shelter for those in need. Throughout the rest of April, there are many different events you can get involved in to help out your community!
