Good morning,

It’s the weekend people have been waiting for since the semester starts. The Athens Halloween Block Party is tomorrow night, and a spooky chill is in the air.

Here are five things to do to get in the holiday spirit before the party starts:

Crank those eerie tunes:

There is only so much time you can show off your moves to “Thriller” and “The Monster Mash.”

Treat your sweet tooth:

Chances are you’re past your prime to go trick-or-treating. Swing by CVS or Kroger and indulge yourself with a nice bag of fun-sized Snickers.

Get your Tim Burton on:

Whether it’s The Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride, nothing gets Halloween going like some claymation skeletons.

Binge Stranger Things:

What’s next for Eleven and the boys? The second season of the hit Netflix series premieres today, so it’s time to binge watch all of it before the big party on Court Street.

Finally carve that pumpkin rotting on your porch:

Dig your hands in that pulpy mess and carve something that will wow everyone stumbling back home tomorrow night.
