Let me take you back a moment. The year is 2016 and Donald Trump is at a rally and the “Build the Wall” chant starts. The majority of the nation laughs at the idea of a border wall separating the United States and Mexico. No one is taking it seriously as a threat. When I mentioned my issues with Trump, many responded by saying, “he doesn’t actually mean that,” or “that will never actually happen.” But here we are. My worst fears are becoming a reality. The issue of the wall has consumed our government since the midterms. What was once a symbolic idea has now become a rallying cry, a campaign promise that Trump will not let go of. Earlier this week, the governor apologized for his appearance in the photo but later denied that either person pictured was him. Despite this, Northam has admitted to dressing up in blackface around the same time frame. If you are a person of moral standard, any toleration of this obvious act of racism should bother you.

On Monday December 3rd it was a huge scare for all of us Friends lovers. There was a rumor that was going around that Friends was going to get taken off of Netflix as of January 1, 2019 and every one was shook. For most of us poor college students that don’t want to spend sixty or more dollars on the box set it was some tragic news. Later in the day Netflix came out and said that it wasn’t true, aka best news that I’ve heard all month. So where did this rumor come from anyway?
