PITTSBURGH — Nathan Rourke has rarely had trouble commanding the offense in his 26 starts with Ohio.
PITTSBURGH — Ohio knew it needed to play a near perfect game if it wanted to grab its fourth win over a Power 5 opponent since 2012. The Bobcats looked ready for the challenge after a season-opening win over Rhode Island last week.
Since 2012, Ohio has won against a Power 5 opponent three times. Two of those wins came against Kansas — who has a 14-71 record in that span — and the other win was against Penn State in 2012.

When Nathan Rourke surveyed the field in his first drive of the season Saturday against Rhode Island, the quarterback saw plenty of new faces in green uniforms awaiting his command. The field position — pinned deep at Ohio’s 6-yard line — was less than ideal, but it was a good first test to see how strong Rourke’s chemistry was with new receivers and running backs.
