James Joyce is a junior at OU, grew up surrounded by his family's strong work ethic and was inspired to support the people of Ohio’s 95th District. He aims to lower utility and living costs, support teachers and the education fund and protect the natural beauty here in the district.

Spring Literary Festival commemorates 40th anniversary

Ohio University’s Spring Literary Festival marked its 40th anniversary on campus, bringing together students, graduates and locals to celebrate literature. Award-winning authors represented fiction, nonfiction and poetry through presentations and encouraged attendees to challenge perspectives and keep literature alive.

The Union hosted bands from varying places on Tuesday, inviting Ohio University students and locals for an evening of live entertainment instead of the bar’s game night.

Athens Quilt Trail exudes 'warmth,' collaborative art

The Athens Quilt Trail is on display at Donkey Coffee until April 26 and includes quilt squares decorated by locals and other interactive art works. The interactive art piece was available for residents to work on in multiple local businesses during January and February.
