David's Thoughts: History isn't a series of 'great men'

As we consume historical media such as biopics and engage with history, we must engage with these things at a critical level to not romanticize or glorify history. Even though there is a divide between historical figures and us, we can learn to understand history in a more educational and less harmful way, and understand that history is more than the accomplishments of a few great men.

Sassy Cassie: Network TV stations must not bend

 Network TV stations get to control what they air and why, but the government has been threatening these stations to take programs off. However, that isn’t within the government's right and should remain in control of network stations.

David’s Thoughts : “Carpe diem” is misunderstood

In the modern era, the phrase “carpe diem” or “seize the day” can be more worrying than inspiring, especially because of external pressures like social media. People need to understand the phrase in its original context to truly live out the phrase “carpe diem.”

Comic stories have been around since the 1930s, and movies based on the heroes have been around for just as long. Some think it is time to stop making these types of movies; however, society needs more movies like Superman.
