In response to Thursday's letter to the editor written by Mr. Bodie Stewart - a linguistics instructor here at Ohio University - and to the vocal minority that has publicly criticized and condemned me ... (which, by the way, I have no problem with. I am not easily offended. Oh, and I loved the posters around campus. Ha-ha, classy.)

Your turn: Preachers display non-Christian-like values on campus

A lovely May day it was Friday afternoon. The birds sang in their boughs. The students trundled to class. The religious hate-mongers spewed their bile on College Green. It may be that I skipped a Sunday school class or two, but as I recall it, Jesus was a proponent of loving all people, no matter if they looked at a naked picture or not. That's not to say that Christianity hasn't had a lengthy and tumultuous history of insensitivity and violence. It most certainly has. This does not, however, give credence to the preachers who have come from across the country to indoctrinate good, simple-minded Athenians and convince Jews that they are ripe for the burn-pile.

Bromley hall flooding

Bromley Hall experienced a fire drill around 3 a.m. on Friday. The cause has been traced by campus security to the seventh floor, where a sprinkler head was found broken. This caused flooding down to the first floor, mostly affecting rooms located beneath the sprinkler’s path.
