Senate Bill 56 restricts public consumption, home growing

Senate Bill 56, which went into effect March 20, bans the sale of intoxicating hemp without a dispensary license, as well as public consumption. The bill restricts home-growing, changes definitions and expunges those convicted of minor misdemeanors in relation to cannabis.

OU extends flexible work policy, Hayes incident re-highlighted

On Feb. 26, 2025, Ohio University’s Policy 40.063 went into effect, extending a policy allowing flexible work schedules, hours and work locations for administrators and “classified employees.” A LinkedIn post made by Nerrissa Young questions the fairness of Thomas Hayes being removed from one of his in-person courses because of the extension.
