Students from an Ohio University class taught by Brittany Peterson worked throughout the semester to plan an event supporting the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia.
The Athens Marathon is the longest running marathon in Ohio and sold out for the first time in history, with nearly 1,000 runners who completed the race and 44 qualifiers for the Boston Marathon.
Devil’s Kettle Skate Jam is the time for skaters to show off their skills and connect with like-minded people. Donations from the jam go directly to repairing and upgrading the Athens Skate Park.
