Looking at the stats before the game, it was clear Miami was not a good football team.
Although No. 12 Ohio extended its winning streak to six games against No. 5 Iowa State Friday, the team would see its streak come to an end the following night after a rough first period.
Competing in its first meet of the season, Ohio defeated Ball State 162-138 and gained momentum, before returning to Athens for a pair of meets the next two weeks.
Disgraceful? Pathetic? Expected?
Heading into Saturday, Ohio had momentum after winning three of its past four games, which had put the Bobcats in position to control their destiny for a Mid-American Conference regular season title.
Tyler Tettleton and Donte Foster put on a clinic Saturday at Peden Stadium, as the Oklahoma duo hooked up for three touchdowns.
Last season, Ohio entered the Battle of the Bricks undefeated, with its seven wins earning the No. 23 ranking in the AP poll.
With the trees going bare and the weather getting colder in Athens, another winter season is coming to a head.
Six points are not only expected, but are also needed from Ohio’s team this weekend.
The Bobcats are about to face their toughest test of the early season.

Since its preseason started in August, Ohio has held practice at Ping Center, Peden Stadium and even the Ohio University Tennis Courts covered in a turf carpet. That said, it’s safe to say the Bobcats have experienced their fair share of adversity.
