English singer-songwriter Harry Styles has announced a stadium tour following his 30 residency shows at Madison Square Garden, which are set to end Oct. 31. Styles announced his original shows Jan. 22, following the announcement of his most recent album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.”
“Kissco,” as the album has come to be known by fans, was released March 6. Both of the album's singles “Aperture” and “American Girls” debuted in the top five on the US Billboard Hot 100. It opened with 430,000 album-equivalent units being sold in its first week.
“Together, Together” is Styles’ third concert tour and features a total of 107 shows across 18 cities across the world. He has announced many openers: Tinashe, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, Kylie Minogue, Lainey Wilson, Q Marsden, The Womack Sisters, Getdown Services, Caroline Polachek, Feist, LCD Soundsystem, Baby Roseand Tears for Fears.
The tour before this, “Love on Tour” won many awards like “Tour of the Year” and “Favorite Residency” at the People’s Choice Awards. It was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but after it finally opened, it was one of the first full-capacity indoor arena concerts to be played in the United States. The tour made roughly $150 million with both legs combined.
Styles is known as a stand-alone artist now, but he got his start in the boy band “One Direction” after they were paired together on the British TV show “The X Factor.” The band played and toured together for six years before taking a hiatus. All of the members had successful solo careers after the hiatus.
The “Together, Together” tour started May 16 in Amsterdam. With the tour announcement, Styles also announced that he would be donating £1 from every ticket sold from his United Kingdom leg of the tour to small music venues around the country, in a partnership with LIVE Trust, an organization trying to preserve and protect grassroots music venues in the UK.
The extra stops were announced after an email was sent to fans Sept. 9, where Styles thanked all the fans who have already joined him in Amsterdam, London, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and MSG. He also said he wanted his most loyal fans to be the first to know that 2027 dates were coming the next day, and they would mark the final cities. There was also speculation that Styles might be retiring after. In the email he wrote, “After that, I don’t know what comes next for me, but I know that I’m excited to find out.”
Tickets went on sale Tuesday, Sept. 15, for presale. There were two different types of presale: Amex preferred and regular artist presale. General ticket sales started the next day, Sept. 16. Prices ranged from $73.01 to $398.65, depending on what venue and city purchases were being made for. There will also be a limited number of “unpredictable fun tickets,” which will be $20 for North American dates, and more details will be announced soon. Tickets can still be purchased on Ticketmaster, but there are a limited number remaining.
