One of Ohio University’s many student amenities is the free gym access at Ping Center. While the building is replete with treadmills, weight rooms, a running track and even a 36-foot-tall climbing wall, there has been a noticeable shortage of female and female-presenting patrons, according to the vice president of the new Womxn’s Empowerment Training group, Brianna Morgenstern. This group is set on resolving the lack of womxn weightlifters by creating a safe space for everyone to come together on their fitness journeys.

Throughout its 12 seasons, "American Horror Story," fans have been haunted by "Murder House," have tried to escape from "Asylum" and have practiced witchcraft in "Coven." Viewers have traveled through time in each iteration of "AHS," from visiting the lost colony of Roanoke to reliving the 2016 election in "Cult." But as "AHS" continues to release season after season, the show has lost its magic.

Body image can have a profound impact on an individual's self-perception. For many students, high school is a time filled with insecurity and doubt, fueled by the need for peer acceptance. Students often feel the need to conform to attain unrealistic societal standards of beauty. However, once students transition to college, there is a shift in their perception of body image.

A new dining option available for students has hit the bricks. Brick City Deli On The Go opened Sept. 5. This location can be found at the corner of President Street and South Court Street. The food truck is based on the Brick City Deli location in Jefferson Market.

Whether students have been dancing for years or have two left feet, OU Vibrations is a dance group for all, no matter the experience. Since its origin in 2017, OU Vibrations has always provided classes and groups welcoming all levels of dance. This sentiment shows, as this year the group gained a record-breaking number of auditions this year.

Sept. 18 is International Equal Pay Day, and worldwide, many are working to bring more recognition and appreciation to the topic. According to the United Nations, the day "represents the longstanding efforts toward the achievement of equal pay for work of equal value" and continues to push against discrimination in all forms, especially against women and girls.

When Ohio University is brought up in conversation, most people envision raging parties, bars filled to maximum capacity and a population of hungover students with another party lined up for the following night. Over the years, people have traveled from all over the country just to experience the infamous Halloween block party or one of the iconic Fest Weekends. In 2019, Barstool Sports ranked OU as #13 on its list of top party schools in the country, and Niche predicts that OU will be #14 on that list in 2024.

The Danish countryside is home to green pastures, historical sites and one of Denmark's rising new artists: Ellen Bathaum, the singer-songwriter also known as ELBA. Despite only releasing her first song, "Antidote," in 2018 and her first full-length album, "Teardrops & Blind Spots," in 2023, she has already made quite a name for herself. Her newest single, "You Do You," is already garnering thousands of listens on Spotify.
