The Nelsonville Music Festival has been showcasing local and national music sensations for 20 years, bringing attendees from across the country to camp and enjoy the weekend of activities. Some took to the Nelsonville stage for the first time, including Space Kid, the band born out of Columbus and friendship.

After 25 years of being held in the same location, the annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival is moving from Lake Snowden in Albany to the Snow Fork Event Center in Nelsonville. The Festival has been held at Lake Snowden since 2001.

Since social media influencer James Charles lashed out at a woman for asking for donations after losing her job due to the closure of Spirit Airlines, I’ve been thinking a lot about privilege and financial literacy. If you are privileged enough to have a parent or guardian pay for your tuition, do not be ashamed. Still, every college student should work toward financial literacy no matter how scary it seems.

When I recall the beginning of my freshman year, it feels unreal. I was thrust into a new situation with new people and expected to just “figure it out.” Thousands of freshmen on campus were experiencing this with little to no advice except to study and make friends.
