Ohio started its 64th season ranked No. 7 in the American Collegiate Hockey Association but quickly showed it was much better than that. With the help of its veterans and an already very developed freshman class, Ohio got out to a strong 6-0 start for the first time since 2019. It swept teams like John Carroll, Alabama and Illinois before losing its first game of the season at Maryville on Oct. 21.

This Friday will mark 28 years since American Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla Pérez, more commonly known as just “Selena,” was shot and killed at only 23 years old. Long regarded as the “Queen of Tejano music,” her music has continued to impact generations of all types of Tejano-music lovers, and has been considered a Latina icon for many.

Usually during my spring break I find myself laying on a plastic beach chair in the heat of Florida. But this year, I ventured outside my comfort zone by traveling outside of the U.S. As part of Ohio University’s UK: Suffragettes and Soldiers in the Literature of London program, I spent a week in London, visiting the sites of famous feminists and authors, as well as learning about the impacts of World War I.

Environmentalists are extremely disappointed in the Biden administration after its decision last week to approve the Willow Project. Willow is a drilling project set to take place in Northern Alaska and tap into promising amounts of oil, an estimated 180,000 barrels of oil a day at its peak to be exact. This project operates under Conocophillips, an American petroleum refineries company. The Biden Administration approved this despite Biden’s campaign promises to end new oil and gas leasing on federal land. Though this is not the first drilling site to break this promise under the Biden Administration, it is certainly the biggest and most environmentally detrimental.

The brand new album “Dark Corners and Alchemy” by mehro is here. The collection of 12 songs follows mehro’s 2021 album “SKY ON FIRE,” which has amassed millions of streams on Spotify. As the title may imply, the album is split into the “Dark Corners” half and the “Alchemy” half. The “Dark Corners” side is described as being centered around sitting with one’s emotional pain while the “Alchemy” side is described as focusing on transforming the pain of the “Dark Corners” side into something positive in one’s life.

Yet, it mostly went viral for the artist singing the song, R&B singer RAYE.
