Ohio won the tip against Florida A&M on Monday night and immediately took off for the basket. Reliable shooter Erica Johnson set her feet for a 3-pointer within the first 10 seconds of the game but missed. Not even 10 seconds later, Cece Hooks also took a crack from beyond the arc and found the same fate.

No. 3 Ohio’s stay in Muncie, Indiana, was extended after it defeated Northern Illinois 3-0 on Sunday night. It moved on to the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals, where it will face off against tournament-favorite No. 2 Bowling Green (20-8, 16-2 MAC).

No. 3 Ohio is staying alive in the Mid-American Conference Tournament after defeating No. 6 Northern Illinois 3-0 in the quarterfinals in Worthen Arena. The win on Sunday marked Ohio’s fourth-straight sweep against Northern Illinois and second this season. It was also its first MAC Tournament win since 2019.

Gallipolis is a small village less than an hour’s drive from Athens that is home to approximately 3,700 people. Its history runs deep like the Ohio River that flows through the back of the town. Many have lived in and passed through the village, but only few hold a connection to it like Ashton Webb. It’s where she started, and it's where she returned to rebuild her relationship with volleyball.
