The Cannabis Museum is a nonprofit museum focused on education and research. The museum was established in 2018 and is still working to find a place to permanently locate and open to the public. Though it hasn’t announced the location yet, it aims to find a physical space for the Cannabis Museum to officially call home by 2022.

On Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. a Grammy-nominated, classical meets hip-hop duo will be making its way to Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Black Violin, which consists of Wil Baptiste, viola player, and Kev Marcus, violin player, will be continuing its “Impossible Tour” in Athens.

Starbrick Gallery, at 21 W. Columbus St., Nelsonville, is a cooperative gallery hosting the work of about 12 to 13 artists from in and around the Athens area. Starbrick displays different artists’ works for the public to view or buy.

Going through sorority recruitment was nothing less than strenuous and unlike any other experience I’ve ever gone through, but at least I looked good doing it, as did everyone else. Something I noticed was the variety and individuality of everyone going through recruitment, but some outfits made me question if we were going through recruitment or walking down the red carpet.

After a successful event last year, Jack Pine Studio, 21397 OH-180, Laurelville, will be hosting its second annual Glass Pumpkin Festival. From Friday until Sunday, people will be able to attend multiple activities and performances, all hosted by Jack Pine Studio.

Chosen Pathways Spiritual Emporium, 400 E. State St. Suite A, opened in May 2021 and features many local artists’ work. Kelly Lawrence, owner of Chosen Pathways, has made a home for her business in Athens and continues to cultivate people together. Through the personalized art and goods, Lawrence believes there’s something for everyone at her business.
