Ohio (7-12 overall, 4-5 Mid-American Conference) fell at the hands of Buffalo (11-8 overall, 5-4 MAC) on Wednesday night. The game was close and hard-fought through the first half, but Buffalo was scorching hot in the third quarter and ran away with the win 81-63.

After starting the game on a 12-4 run, points became hard to come by for Ohio (7-12, 4-5 MAC). While Ohio struggled to score, Buffalo (11-8, 5-4 MAC) got into a rhythm at the free-throw line and inside the paint. From that point onward, the Buffalo onslaught would lead to Ohio falling 81-63 as the final horn sounded off.

A political primary is a preliminary election in which the registered voters of a political party nominate candidates for office. The key word here is preliminary. The current system allows small states such as Iowa and New Hampshire (assisted by the media) to award front-runner status to the victorious candidate. From there, the candidates travel a path determined by which states want to "leapfrog" the other by moving up their primary dates.
