Sports Column: BCS picture beginning to take shape

A small, figurative snowball has begun to roll down a hill and is gaining momentum.
For a better part of the last decade I have been sheepishly on the defensive at most times in the off chance that some raging maniac who lurks in dark alleys at night will finally succeed in his goal of murdering me. I do not know anyone, nor has anyone personally relayed such a story to me; however it seems like a truly rational thing to fear in my mind. There are, however, several legitimate threats that I simply disregard as outlandish and downright absurd. As a teen, growing up in the cold, hard suburbs of Pittsburgh, there was one risky behavior in particular that I feel was a serious threat to my life: pimple popping.
The first speaker in this year’s upcoming Kennedy Lecture Series will be Dr. Keith Devlin, of Stanford University, to debate technological revolutions.

Jim Christian preached the entire offseason about the depth of this season’s Ohio squad.
With a 197-81 win over conference rival Marshall, Ohio (3-1) reached it’s highest point total of the season on Friday.

It’s been politics as usual for Ohio University Student Senate this year, except this time, the typically private election planning has been thrust into the public eye.
What makes sports exciting every year is the unknown factor, and this season is no different for Ohio, which has a remarkably different roster than it did in years past.
