Suspended tackle pleads no contest

An Ohio University football player pleaded no contest at the Athens County Municipal Court yesterday to the charges he racked up as he drunkenly drove down Court Street April 10.

Student faces charges after dining hall break-in

John Maykut, a sophomore studying biology, broke into Nelson Dining Hall through the roof early Sunday morning, according to court documents. Maykut was spotted inside the dining hall holding an employee hat.

City Council: Loan to cover costs of Athens bus line
