The day I brought home my DVR, or digital video recorder, box was a momentous occasion in my life. No longer would I have to count the minutes as yet another promised full episode of Eureka failed to buffer just when the space debris was about to kill everyone. So imagine my delight to read an online article announcing that mobile television will be available to consumers in the United States by the end of the year.

In 1979 the Athens Women's Collective, a group of community women, joined together as part of a national movement by marching in the streets, raising awareness about violence against women and take back the night. As this year's Women's Affairs Commissioner on Student Senate and organizer of Take Back the Night Week, I would like to extend an invitation to everyone in Athens to come to the Rally and March at 7 p.m. at West Portico Thursday.
